Campaigner: Mothers should be on marriage certificate

It’s 2014 and when you get married in England or Wales, your registrar will ask for the name and occupation of the couple’s fathers to be recorded. Mothers of brides and grooms currently have no details recorded but an online petition is seeking to change the situation.
