Vintage hair dos for your wedding day

by | 5 August 2017 | Hair & Beauty

We love a bit of vintage wedding inspiration here at Popup Weddings. We’ve delved into the 20s, 30s and 40s with our ongoing Eras of Inspiration Series, and so we thought it was time to take a look at the classic hairstyles that complement a vintage wedding theme.

Whether you’re doing a full on retro wedding or you just want to channel the vintage bridal look, here’s some inspiration to get you started.

The theatrical 20s

Pile on the glamour with some 20s wedding hair. This era is all about the added extras, so look to sparkly accessories and headpieces to really bring your final look to life.

Screen siren of the 30s

Look back to the 1930s with some Hollywood infused chic. Think big and bouncy hair, with plenty of volume and a definite red carpet vibe.

Up in the 40s

From victory rolls to pinned back curls, the 1940s was all about effortless hair. Achieve the look with subtle volume, half hair-up dos and soft waves.
